Thought I'd round up some of the other cool Portland brands that have come on the scene recently. Some are brand new and some have decades of history but have discovered a new found appreciation from consumers. You may also have heard of the new collective that launched earlier this year, Portland Made, a community of designers and manufacturers that supports its members with education, resources and a channel to promote their reach locally and globally. It's a great place to find lesser known up and coming brands, all with pretty cool stories behind them.
Here are a few Portland brands to check out.
Tanner Goods: Creators of vintage inspired goods and accessories from premium materials sourced close to home as possible. They make belts, bags, wallets and more. They recently opened a new store in the West End that is worth checking out.
Bluer Denim: These guys launched this summer thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign. They make denim products that are 100% Made in the USA. The cotton is sourced from Georgia, fabric woven in North Carolina, designed in Portland and handmade in Los Angeles. The cool part is their model of at-home try on. Check em out.
